Special Santa arrived in Sibiu

 European Centre for the Rights of Children with Disabilities invited Special Santa Clause to Sibiu to meet the special children from the „Speranta” Day Care Shelter, Friday, 23 of December 2011.

 Every child received toys, sweets, fruits and lots of hugs from the Special Santa.

ECRCD succeeded in making a small difference in these children daily routine by meeting other new persons, by talking, playing and making them smile, at least for a while.

ECRCD was able to bring these children small gifts with the financial support of several legal and natural persons who believe in our cause.

“Speranta” Day Care Shelter is a residential social assistance institution in Sibiu, Romania that offers specialized intervention therapies to children with intellectual disabilities meant to facilitate their access to social and family inclusion.

 In order to strengthen the organizational implementation capacity at local level, ECRCD intends to open a Branch Office in Sibiu that will cover the central region Romania. In this respect we focus on social innovation programs dedicated to the social inclusion of children with disability.
