INVITATION to „DARE Conference – All children have the right to quality education”

The European Centre for the Rights of Children with Disabilities (ECRCD) invites you on Friday, January 30, 2015, starting from 15:30 to „D.A.R.E! Conference – All children have the right to quality education!”. The Conference will take place in Ploiești, Prahova County at the Educational Association’s House (Casa Corpului Didactic) on Democrației Street, No. 35.

The Conference is addressed to parents of children with disabilities, teachers and experts in the field.  The conference will provide the participants with relevant information about inclusive education, practical ways of monitoring and evaluating the quality of the educational act in accordance to the needs of children with disabilities, tools and methods of approaching disability from the perspective of diversity and inclusion, as well as practical ways to prevent discrimination .

„DARE! Conference – All children have the right to quality education!” is an interactive event, the first in a series of five regional conferences , which CEDCD will be organizing in 2015, part of the Project ”Dignity, Access, Respect, Education for Children with Disabilities- D.A.R.E for Children with Disabilities”, funded by The Foundation for an Open Society – Human Rights Initiative.

The event in Ploiești is organized with the support of Educational Association’s House (Casa Corpului Didactic).

Diplomas will be issued at the end of the Conference.

16.00 – 16.30 - Inclusive education - a new vision of education. Practices and methods of inclusive education of children with disabilities.

16.30 – 17.15 - What can you do, as the parent of a child with disabilities regarding your child's education?

17.15 – 17.30 – Coffee break

17.30 – 18.00 - From special needs to skills - alternative communication techniques for children with disabilities

18.00 – 18.30 – Discrimination in school. Legal remedies
